My granddaughter Keely had planted some sunflower seeds this spring so excited about them. I just hoped they would come up. The flowers have been a blessing in disguise. I have never seen a sunflower have so many blooms. We did have a little mishap with one when Matthew was weedeating around them and lost one but three of them are doing great. One is yellow and one is reddish but we are not sure yet what the next one will be. Enjoy the pictures of our sun flowers.

First painting
Finished my first painting at my class of a flower and I am pretty proud of it. It is bright and colorful.
I have started a landscape and fortunately my sister has some great pictures from her trip to Europe. I am planning to paint one of those that has a beautiful little church in it. I want to paint it in an expressionistic way with bright colors and with a little abstraction. Not going to stay with the realistic theme just doesn't fit me. The scariest part is starting the picture after that nothing is hard.
